Ballerina Collection Photo Shoot Part 2/2
The anticipation was killing me. Days turned into hours and before I could even blink, it was the day before the production. All night long my team and I created floral designs that would complement our photo shoot. Ballerina inspired arrangements named after beautiful ballet techniques.
These floral designs are now available for online purchase during our Valentine's Day Season. Use Valentine's Day 10% OFF Promo Code: FLORALSTUDIO10 at checkout by 2/10.
At 5am sharp we left the house, drove to Dunkin Doughnuts to start our day with 50 freshly glazed doughnuts and munchkins. These doughnuts would be ever so nicely stacked into a pyramid cake surrounded by roses, lit candles, and treats creating a delicious dessert table.
We arrived at the BOW&ROSE FLORAL STUDIO at 5:45am. There is only time for being punctual today. As we pulled in, my brother Mario Pablo was loading the Uhaul we rented with all of our props and lovely antique furniture. How else would we transport everything to the site?
In the mean time Lucia and I picked up Jessica. I had never met Jessica before this day, so it was normal I felt a little nervous, mainly because I wanted her to feel like we treasured her time. While in the car, the three of us talked and got to know each other. We all began to feel important. Neither of us have ever planned something on our own of this caliber but we knew we couldn't have chosen a more perfect team to follow through with every detail.
We finally arrive to the PERFECT LOCATION, Untermeyer Gardens. Early to our performance, on schedule, just how I like it. Our bloom filled Uhaul quickly became empty as we carried all our special props to the furthest point of the site. Within minutes, We became surrounded by patina wrought iron gates that overlooked the Hudson River and old stucco walls. Elements like this make me SWOON.
Once everything was on site and my BOW&ROSE team arranged each prop into its predetermined location, I took Jessica to the changing room to put on the selected dress. It is a lovely tulle stunner Allison Parris gown from our friends at Rent the Runway. She had never tried it on before CRAZY I know, my intuition knew it would fit. Jessica LOVED it and I felt accomplished! She is gorgeous in or out of this dress. Jessica is by far the best model and newest member of the BOW&ROSE Family. I've never met a more graceful, happy, easy going person. She has a look of romance in her eyes, a ballerina to a T.
As the two of us walked back, my team was just about done setting up the dessert table. It was their genius idea to add some final touches, lit candles, petals, ribbon and gorgeous calligraphy inked invitations.
We had the entire site all to ourselves, with occasional joggers and yogis who couldn't help to get more in zen by approaching us and receiving a long stem Amsterdam Rose. The entire day was perfect although chilling cold. We made sure to bundle Jessica up in between shots; I couldn't risk getting my girl sick after the amount of confidence and dedication she portrayed.
From the moment Lucia picked up the Camera, Jessica radiated beauty and grace. Our photographer Lucia has extraordinary talent. She has a way of capturing color and effortless emotion. She masters the art of capturing the moment. Jessica became even more of who she was in front of her lens.
To make this photo shoot complete, we had a special appearance by my boyfriend who for this styled shoot had the role of the Ballerina's Groom. By creating this collection of captured moments, we hope to inspire our viewers to think outside the box when it comes to all things photography.
I am forever grateful for such a fantastic team and graceful Ballerina. Surrounded by individuals that root for your dreams and help you reach them regardless if they've only known you for few hours.
I dedicate these photos to all of you. The amount of love these photos will remind me of is endless. We did this together. The connections we all made with eachother were EPIC. I couldn't have been luckier that day. Countless blessings.
